Water is becom­ing ever scarcer as a resource. For this reason, recy­cled sub­stances and waste­water are increas­ing­ly being used for irri­ga­tion. Water from rivers, sewage treat­ment plants, slaugh­ter­hous­es, the food indus­try and the paper and sugar indus­try can be taken for irri­ga­tion by employ­ing the right machines and mate­ri­als. Aggres­sive water would shorten the service life of normal irri­ga­tion machines considerably.

The POLYSTAR system from BAUER is avail­able for pivot and linear systems as well as for CENTERLINER and offers com­pre­hen­sive cor­ro­sion pro­tec­tion for ele­ments which trans­port water. This means that there are no tech­ni­cal limits to the use of waste­water, sep­a­rat­ed liquid manure and aggres­sive water.

Extreme­ly long service life

For the POLYSTAR version, the span pipes of the BAUER pivot and linear systems in sizes 168 and 203mm are fitted with HD-PE 4.0 or 4.9mm on the inside. Sealing sur­faces are pro­duced using pre­ci­sion tools to guar­an­tee a com­plete­ly tight seal and time-saving assembly.

This increas­es the already long service life of BAUER systems even further. The water-car­ry­ing pipes are pro­tect­ed all around against cor­ro­sive com­po­nents in the liquid. Sand or sed­i­ment cannot cause any abra­sion damage.

As an addi­tion­al benefit, the flow prop­er­ties of the water are improved, since the coef­fi­cient of fric­tion of the poly­eth­yl­ene pipe is lower than that of gal­va­nized steel.
