Ardboe Agri Energy Ltd, a modern biogas operator based in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, is once again taking an important step towards higher efficiency and future readiness. After many years of successful operation with flexible separation units, the company decided to invest in the next stage of technological development – becoming the first operator worldwide to install the new FAN FPP 1.2-780 Elevator Separator.
The decisive impulse came during a visit to EuroTier 2024, where the team saw the new model live for the first time. Its design, the integrated height adjustment and the direct discharge into a trailer were immediately convincing. Instead of relying on additional loaders or conveying technology, the separator lifts the material autonomously, ensuring smooth and streamlined workflows.
The hydraulic lifting platform raises the separator to a height of up to 4.3 metres, enabling fast and clean removal of the solid fraction. This not only improves internal logistics but also makes service and maintenance work easier thanks to better accessibility. The project was supported by Genesis Agri Ltd in Lisburn, Ardboe Agri Energy’s long-standing dealer and technical partner. Their close cooperation ensured that the system was optimally adapted to the specific operational requirements on site. For FAN Separator, the installation marks an important milestone – and clearly demonstrates how innovative technology, practical experience and strong partnerships are shaping the future of the biogas industry.
