Self-Propelled Technology

BAUER LT

We offer professional gooseneck tankers as single axle (LT), tandem (GT) and tridem (GT) for the CLAAS XERION. The enormous advantages are their manoeuvrability and weight transfer. This means that the weight of the tanker is transferred directly to the trac. As a result, more traction is achieved in the field. In addition, the tractor can turn more than 90° in front of the tanker. Accordingly, the tractor-trailer combination can be brought back to working position more quickly after the headland. Less manoeuvring also means less soil compaction. The transport length of the tractor-trailer unit is also minimised.

THE FLEXIBLE CONCEPT

The LT gooseneck single-axle tanker for CLAAS XERION has been designed so that it can be equipped with a rotary piston pump from Vogelsang. The LT is equipped with a chamber system, ensuring the necessary pressure on the trac even with heavy attachments. This ensures the necessary traction on the field and prevents a negative vertical load. The company-developed telescopic axle ensures soil-friendly distribution.

Advantages to be attached

The tyres (900/60 R38) can be telescoped sideways by 900 mm each so that the ground is only driven over once. The extremely wide and high tyres minimise rolling resistance and thus save fuel. Thanks to the gooseneck principle, it is possible to turn the trac more than 90° in front of the tanker which results in enormous manoeuvrability. Heavy attachments are also possible with this design. The forces are transmitted through the tanker from the rear to the front. It is also possible to install an additional axle which is required to comply with the road traffic licensing regulations for attachments from about 4 tonnes.

4 different options

Suction options

The company-developed sliding axle is designed for a load of up to 35 tonnes. With the axle extended, the vehicle is 4.80 m wide. This width becomes an enormous advantage on slopes. The tanker is incredibly stable on the slope and tipping over is almost impossible.

The lifting device is identical to all other BAUER self-propelled technology products. Attachments of up to 7 to can be fitted. To ensure that the permitted single axle load of 10 to is not exceeded in road traffic, a braked additional axle is possible or necessary.

With this vehicle, you can choose from four different suction options:

  1. Manual suction (standard),
  2. 8" intake on the left or right side by means of a suction arm,
  3. 8" intake via telescopic suction arm on top of the tanker with accelerator,
  4. 10" BAUER front unit.

Front unit

Our front unit impresses with its enormous range of approx. 8 m, flexibility, ease of operation and performance.

We install a special Bucher hydraulic block including control box in the front unit so that the front unit is completely separated from the actual oil supply and control technology of the slurry system. As the XERION can guarantee an LS supply at the front and rear, this separation is possible without any problems. Thus, sources of error are minimised and unnecessarily long oil ducts are avoided. The front unit can be swivelled by 160°, it is equipped with a stone cage, a Vogelsang RotaCut, a manual filling nozzle, working lights and lighting complying with the road traffic regulations. The front unit is also equipped with an integrated floating position which allows height adjustment during the suction process. The feeder increases in height and the self-propelled unit becomes heavier. The floating position minimises unnecessary wear. The proportional joystick ensures a very sensitive control of the arm. So anyone can find the suction point in no time at all.
