Popular around the world

BAUER Booms

BAUER booms are very popular around the world. And with good reason, as they combine the mobility of the Rainstar with the irrigation quality of a Pivot.

Booms are a flexible low-pressure system that – together with a Rainstar – can be used ideally on smaller areas on the one hand and produce an extremely even, fine precipitation on the other. This system is therefore perfect for crops that require particularly gentle irrigation.

ECONOMICAL AND EFFECTIVE

Gentle rain

BAUER boom carts are made of high-quality steel and aluminium. Despite their lightweight construction, they are absolutely stable. Easy handling is a further big plus: In just a few minutes, a BAUER boom can be folded up and unfolded by one person. Irrigation with Bauer boom carts offers particularly fine and even precipitation. Furthermore they are extremely economical in terms of water and energy consumption.

They are also characterized by minimized evaporation losses and maximum wind resistance. What’s more, our booms can easily be retrofitted to existing hard hose travellers.

Maximum protection of the plants

Irrigation in its finest form

0,8 bar of nozzle pressure is already enough for irrigation with a boom. Precipitation is particularly fine and gentle and protects plants and soil. Low sensitivity to wind is another welcome advantage. Fine droplets prevent soil compaction — topsoil and pore structure are preserved and the soil is treated with care. By distributing the water close to the ground, evaporation is reduced, increasing efficiency and having a positive effect on the overall cost efficiency of the machine.

Ready for transport in no time

Compact transport unit

While the smaller AS 16 and AS 26 boom carts are prepared manually for transport, the fold away elements of the larger booms AS 32 and AS 50 are loaded onto the Rainstar. A single operation easily opens or closes the boom in just a few minutes.
