When temperatures drop in Kraków, one of the most sensitive tasks of winter operations begins: the safe de-icing of aircraft. What remains invisible to travellers is made possible behind the scenes by a highly specialised vehicle: the BAUER LUPUS 207+. The striking yellow tank vehicle reliably collects the fluids released during de-icing, preventing chemical residues from entering the environment or disrup ting airport operations.
Designed for extreme conditions, the 20,700 litre polyester tank is UV resistant, chemically robust and suitable for demanding media such as potassium formate. Its galvanised chassis, protected by a special coating, withstands salt and de-icing agents, while large wheels and a pendulum axle ensure excellent manoeuvrability on any surface. At the heart of the system is a stainless steel rotary lobe pump delivering an impressive 4,000 litres per minute – self priming and highly efficient, even in freezing temperatures. The equipment package is complemented by durable stainless steel components and modern safety features including LED airfield lighting, a reversing camera and an air brake system.
